The home team come into this tie having lost the first leg of their Carabao/EFL Cup semifinal to Newcastle on Tuesday 2-0. On the other side, the visitors come into the tie fresh off a solid showing last weekend against Liverpool at Anfield, a game in which they walked away with a point against a league leading side. Off the back of that showing, the visiting side is probably feeling pretty good about picking up a positive result in this third round FA Cup tie.
Looking at the match from a betting perspective, it’s hard to go against an Arsenal team that prior to it’s mid-week loss against Newcastle, hadn’t lost at the Emirates all season long. It’s hard to imagine them now losing two in the span of less than one week. Rather look for Arsenal to at least walk away from this one with draw. But, they’re facing a side that has some pep in their step after their most recent result against Liverpool. For that reason, we’re backing Man United to get on the board.
